Rabbits and Easter Don't Mix! Did you know that rabbits are the third most euthanized pet in the United States? Every year people buy rabbits as Easter gifts without understanding how big of a committment they're making. Rabbits live 8-10 years, need to be spayed and neutered to prevent health and behavioral problems and need three hours of exercise daily! They need be examined by a rabbit-savvy veterinarian at least once a year because skipping a year is like us going 3 to 5 years between doctor visits. Please research and make sure you are ready to committ to caring for a pets every need before you get a pet. And, please, consider Adoption! Adoption saves not only the pet you adopt, but also the pet taking its place!
